I have been teaching for over twenty years, rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and have helped many children gain places at grammar schools.

YEAR 4 FOUNDATION COURSE

The Year 4 Foundations Course is designed to build confidence and strengthen the core literacy and numeracy skills that are essential for success in the 11+.

My Maths and English content works hand‑in‑hand with what your child is learning in school, helping them reinforce key skills, fill any gaps, and make faster progress. This means the course is valuable even if you decide not to move on to the Year 5 Preparation Course.

YEAR 5 11 PLUS PREPARATION COURSE

11 Plus Course

Before your child starts the course, I invite all children on my list to attend a taster session in the spring or summer term of Year 4. This is important because they get to meet me, see where the lessons take place and get a flavour of what the lessons will be like.

During the session, I carry out a short, informal assessment of their Maths and English. This allows me to see if I think they will be able to cope with the course in a group setting
